Reed started as an auditor at Baird, Kurtz & Dobson, then spent 30 years at Leggett & Platt in Carthage, Missouri. He moved from internal audit to Group Controller over a $700M portfolio, then served as President of three divisions, the largest with $1.1B in annual sales.
He holds a degree in accounting from Missouri Southern State University in Joplin, is a CPA licensed in Missouri and a CMA, and was named to Marquis Who’s Who in America in 2024. He founded Hoagland Financial Group to bring that experience to owner-led companies part time.

Do you work in person or virtually?
Both. Reed works on a hybrid schedule. He meets with owners and their teams at their location when the work calls for it and works virtually the rest of the time. You and Reed set the mix that fits your company.
